In his 25th year as a pilot, Carey holds a commercial certificate with an instrument rating for SEL and MEL. Approaching 4,400 hours total time, including 1,800 hours in a C310, 1,800 hours TBM7 and 450 hours TBM8. Carey runs a convenience store and wholesale fuel business in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. He also co-founded a software development company long ago. His home base is Lawton, Oklahoma and he's fortunate to have a second home base in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Carey holds a Bachelor's in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Master's in Business Administration with a specialty in Management Information Systems.
