Speaker Bio
ob Dumovic is an 11,000 hour Flight Instructor and Designated Pilot Examiner. He grew up in a small town in Ohio, where his passion for aviation was sparked by the USAF C-130s flying overhead. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Flight Technology at Kent State University, earning his flight certificates and beginning his journey in aviation. His true passion for flying emerged when he started aerobatic training in a Super Decathlon, under the mentorship of John Dye.

As an instructor at Kent State, Rob played a key role in helping the next generation of pilots develop essential skills in aircraft coordination, stall-spin awareness, and upset recovery. His competitive nature led the university's flight team to national success, including Kent State’s first individual event championship with him winning the 2009 Power-Off Precision Landing event.

In 2013, Rob joined Michael Goulian’s Executive Flyers Aviation in Boston as an aerobatics instructor, where he further honed his teaching and leadership skills. His expertise in aerobatics led to his involvement in FAA Certification spin testing for a flying car project, which successfully achieved certification in 2020.

Today, Rob runs his own company, Spread Aviation, and is a 3 time Oshkosh AirVenture Presenter at the EAA’s Pilot Proficiency Center. With coaching from Michael Goulian and an Extra 300 partnership, Rob is focused on taking his passion for flying to new heights finishing his airshow pilot qualifications.
