Scott owns and operates AvWxTraining & EZWxBrief (https://ezwxbrief.com) and is the president and CEO of AvWxWorkshops Inc headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a former National Weather Service research meteorologist and is an FAA-certificated instrument flight instructor specializing in technically advanced aircraft (TAA) and aviation weather training. He earned a Ph.D. in Infrastructures & Environmental Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has written over 300 articles for various aviation magazines and is a contributing editor for FLYING magazine

Planning a safe flight means being weather aware in order to minimize your exposure to dangerous adverse weather. In this program we will focus on three key signatures to look for and avoid when planning your next flight as it relates to clear air turbulence, airframe icing and deep, moist convection.
